Good day, dear reader:

Way back in 2009 I retired from my job and found myself at loose ends. No matter what my job description was over the years, I always felt my mission was to help others. Without a formal job, I found volunteer opportunities but something was missing. Then I discovered blogging and Lipstick Digest was born as a way to share ideas, information, news about topics that we women find interesting–health, fashion, travel, food, and living our best life. I combed magazines, the Web and local news for my readers.

Then in 2012, I was offered a new job, helping women in a wonderful new facility at Lone Star College-Kingwood, aptly named, The Women’s Center. I couldn’t do justice to Lipstick Digest and finally closed the site.

Almost six years and one divorce later, I have once again, retired, but as one cute congratulatory card stated, “but not expired”. My desire is to share good ideas, products that will make your life better, recipes that are quicker, healthier, tastier and find a way to make you smile.

I don’t have all the best ideas and I rely on others, including you, to let me know when that wrinkle cream really works, when that no-fat icream tastes like the real thing, and what movie to see and which one to avoid. I want to know the book you loved, the best thing you’ve ever eaten, and the secret to your 10 pound weight loss!

When I decided I wanted to write another blog, I struggled to come up with a name for it. Then I began doing research and discovered that my old domain was still there–waiting for me, and I hope for you as well.

Come along with me, I promise a fun trip,
