Good Afternoon Dear Reader:

If you use Lancome products, you will love the great gift with purchase at Dillard's now!
It is the start of another beautiful week, but only if you decide it is! I have decided that it is. Yesterday, my fortune cookie said I should be bold and decisive. With that fortune in hand, I marched boldly to the mall to make some decisions.
Luckily, those decisions were easy because everything I liked was on sale, well most everything. I did find the most fabulous black leather tote bag with a huge black bow at Ann Taylor that was new, and holding at $225, but I’ll keep checking. They did have extra discounts on all their sale merchandise, which included an amazing number of items that can be worn year round in mild climates.
I bought a darling black pencil skirt for $19.99 that had originally been over $70. I probably don’t look pencil-like in it, but I love the name just the same. I can dream.
I wandered over to Ann Taylor Loft since I had not been in for while to see if there was anything irresistible. Turns out, there was a lot. In fact, they had some of the best sales of all the stores I visited.
I have no idea how long their sale will last, but yesterday, they had 40% off any item in the store, including their new fall line. That’s a heck of a deal for mid-summer. I think it speaks to the state of the economy. In the fall line, I simply loved, loved an elegant sleeveless blouson blouse which tied at the back of the neck with a ribbon. It could go anywhere. The regular price was only $44.50, and it was 40% off as well.

This is so pretty and elegant!
They had paired it with a gorgeous crystal oversized necklace in the same shade which was $34.50, and again was 40% off.
I found a gorgeous knitted sweater in a silver gray marked down to $39.99 from $59.99, which was identical to the “bulky” styles that are predicted to be so in fashion this fall.

Bulky gray sweater for fall, on sale now!
There were some fabulous statement necklaces half-off which combined both natural stones and cut crystals. Most of them had been $44 originally, marked to $29.99 and another 50% off that price, so basically, about $15. Again, all of them were perfect for fall.

Great necklaces, unbelievable prices at The Loft
Loved the beaded, short-sleeved tees in numerous colors that were about $25. I saw almost the same tees at Banana Republic for $49.50. They were all very soft and the quality looked the same to me.
Popped into Eddie Bauer and snapped up a great looking pale blue men’s tee for my son that has an SPF of 20 for $5.99 off their sale rack. I found a darling one for me on the 75% off table for $10 that was appliqued with a subtle tie-dye effect in white and aqua.
I had a fantastic time at Chico’s but it will take an entire post to tell you what all I found that you are going to want! Sometimes women make the mistake in assuming that Chico’s is only about a certain look or great clothes for travel, but not on the cutting edge of fashion. If you think that, you need to take another look. And no, they are not paying me! I wish!

Itching to try the new rainbow nail colors? For $1.99 Walgreen's has them all!
Have just a fantastic day!
Diane
