Good Evening Dear Reader:
The summer heat has encouraged me to pursue my favorite indoor sport, shopping. Fourth of July sales are in full swing and the 25% off has now become 50% or even 70% off in some stores. Some of the most delicious bargains are at Dillard’s and if you watch their ads, they frequently feature an additional discount up to 30% over the discounted sale price.

Some of the D&B bags on sale can be used year-round.
Brands that in the past that have been seldom on sale, including Dooney and Bourke, Coach and Brahmin have seen recent markdowns at Dillards of 30% with an additional 30% off during a recent promotion. While some bags are clearly for summer, many others can be carried year round.
Belts, both leather and metal were marked 50%-70% off .
I picked up a darling Eileen West cotton summer gown also 70% off. The deals are there, and the selection is still good. Don’t wait too long.
It’s a jungle out there!
When animal prints began appearing everywhere four or five years ago, I was certain it was a trend due to burn out within a year. Unbelievably, it is still hot. I thought the same thing about capris and cargo pants and they are still a market staple.
Marshall’s is tops with animal prints everywhere!
I stopped in a one of my favorite bargain stores, Marshall’s and was just positive I could hear the beat of a jungle drum or at the very least, a small roar. Animal prints are everywhere and they simply look hot.

Zebra occasional chair $149.99 at Marshall's.
While I think a room full of jungle-themed furniture might suggest Tarzan and Jane reside there, an accent piece here and there can do wonders to add some excitement to a predictable room arrangement.
This leather and print side is not only comfortable, it is well constructed and a bargain at $79.99.

Black leather trim adds a a nice finishing touch
Marshall’s always has a number of high-end hand bags that are seriously discounted. Today, I found bags by Michael Kors, one of my personal favorites, in both traditional and a lively animal print, now at $99.

Michael Kors, regularly $160, now $99
I had no idea that Paris Hilton had her own shoe line, but undoubtedly she does and the leopard printed ones retail for $90, yours for $49.99.

A great looking shoe by Paris Hilton

At $3.99 each, the leopard address book and post it notes are great gifts
Don’t forget Marshall’s for discounted accessories, office supplies, stationery and even gourmet food and beverages like tea and coffee. Their giftware and kitchen items are top brands at rock bottom prices.
I love to give photo frames as gifts since most people have lots of photos just waiting to be framed. Sure enough, Marshall’s is a great place to find a huge selection of styles and sizes with prices beginning at $4.99.
Not every Marshall’s or T.J. Maxx has a Home Goods store as a part of it, but the ones that do offer a fantastic selection of linens, china, rugs, decorator items, lamps, mirrors, art and giftware. Look for one near you!
Have a wonderful evening!
Diane
